The Ward 10 Progressives Forum has trained 24 young women on various vocational skills.
This was contained in an appreciation message sent to its collaborators and signed by its chairman, Abubakar Ahmad.
“Today, IBWU Foundation and Young Chambers International in collaboration with Ward 10 Progressives Forum graduated 24 young women trained on hairdressing and tailoring.”
According to the Forum, the trainings were part of the efforts of the organizations to reduce unemployment in the society.
It added that grants will be given to the beneficiaries to establish their own businesses.
“In the effort of the Organization to reduce unemployment and idle minds in the society, the participants will also be empowered with grants to kick start their own businesses.”
The Forum expressed its appreciation towards individuals and various organizations that contributed to the success of the training.
“Special appreciation to IBWU Foundation, Lagos and JCI Arewa for finding Sabon Gari Community worthy of this intervention, the traditional and religious leaders for support and guidance, participants for their commitment and well behaved attitude throughout the training.
“We Pray and hope for a more collaboration in future.”
