Haaland is Manchester City’s new No.9

Erling Haaland will wear the No.9 shirt for Manchester City, inheriting the number that Gabriel Jesus vacated after his departure to Arsenal.

What was once an open secret, became official on Saturday afternoon, when City posted a video on social media of the striker drawing the number nine on his shirt.

In addition, the video also displayed the silhouette of his father wearing the No.15 shirt during his time as a City player can be seen in a puddle on the ground.

May saw Manchester City persuade Haaland to leave Borussia Dortmund, paying a transfer fee of 60 million euros, with the Norwegian appearing to be the forward that Pep Guardiola has been desperate for since the departure of Sergio Aguero.
